Missions:

Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies are followed.

Maintain the paint production process (robots, booths, water treatment processes), follow paint process, ensure basic maintenance, analyze and correct deviations.

Follow, stabilze and optimize paint processes and results.

May participate in new product / process (paint line, robots) launches.

 

Activities

·  Works according to HSE requirements (LOTO, cleaning…) and promote safety mindset on day to day basis
·  Ensure safety and security conditions are kept in order within the paint line, alert management in case of any non-conformity or deviance.
·  Deploy paint standards during the paint production shift.
·  Start and stop the paint line according to production plan and safety rules.
·  Control the paint operation and equipment (including robots).
·  Check quality and conformity of the application process according to quality requirements and procedures (PPCM).
·  Ensure all process control recording sheets are correctly and accurately completed and in position for the shifts.
·  maintenance level 1 procedures for robots and all paint equipment (guns, pumps, jigs…) inclusive of the mix room and ensure all maintenance activities are correctly recorded.
·  Maintain paint applicators.
·  Record the use of all paint line spares to ensure adequate stocks are maintained.
·  Minimize stops of the paint line.
·  Participate in continuous improvement workshops; propose measures to improve product and process quality.
·  Follow up and optimize continuously paint consumption (primer, basecoat, clear coat, hardeners, and solvents, rinsing solvents…).

 

Requirements

·  Degree in engineering or equivalent work experience
·  Dedication to safety
·  Proven record of problem solving and application skills
·  Good communicator
·  Open to new concepts and innovation with application to problem solving and productivity
·  Previous automotive finishing and robotic experience a plus
·  Mechanical and electrical experience REQUIRED with industrial control an asset
·  Strong electrical, PLC and robots experience
·  Computer technology and programming an asset.
