Your challenge

In a highly dynamic customer environment characterized by a large variety of medical research fields and a wide range of associated technologies, you will enhance and develop applications for our translation research solution with a focus on our web-technology based frontend. Building on Philips proprietary medical software platform, you will enhance user experience and functionalities.

Your responsibilities

·  Responsible for design, implementation, test and maintenance of software modules with high quality
·  Focus on front-end and web application development
·  Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into activities
·  Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
·  Create software system on Windows/Linux/Unix server environment including distributed systems, high volume data processing, machine learning, algorithm design, reporting, data visualization, etc.
·  Adhere to development processes including code reviews, design reviews and coding guidelines
·  Create and maintain software documentation

We are looking for

·  Master of Science in computer science or a related field or bachelor degree with relevant work experience
·  Proven programming skills and knowledge of modern HTML/CSS, ASP.NET, Javascript and C#
·  Experience with ASP.NET API / RESTful Web Services and modern Java Script frameworks (angularJS, JQuery)
·  Experience with systems and applications design, development, and testing is beneficial
·  A solid understanding of how web applications work including session management, preferably proven working experience in web programming
·  Adequate knowledge of Object Oriented Programming
·  Good debug and problem solving mindset, hands-on experience with web debugging tools
·  Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
·  Good English language skills
