In this role, you have the opportunity to

be point of contact at the Philips Aachen location for the Philips Digital Photon Counting (PDPC) business. Your role is to formulate and implement the Business' long-range quality, regulatory and compliance policy, and to lead and direct organizational development and process. Improvement in such a way as to ensure that the Business strategic policy and strategic growth targets are met. This involves being a confident advisor on approval, regulatory compliance and quality management related topics, in order to achieve timely releases of innovative products that deliver high quality and outstanding reliability to the lives they will improve.

You are responsible for

·  Responsible for all quality related activities
·  Maintain, enforce, and manage a compliant and effective Quality Management System (QMS) for the activities in scope, as well as for effective and lean QMS structures and documents for Q&R processes at PDPC
·  Ensure proper audit planning and schedule meets the requirements of internal policies and external regulations
·  Perform internal and external quality audits
·  Ensure compliant and effective QMS's are maintained in scope
·  Ensure Q&R requirements are effective in all processes in scope
·  Ensure continuous improvement in the areas of QMS, supplier quality, and overall organizational quality
·  Manage (local) Q&R processes and ensure (local) process ownership for all activities under the QMS governance in scope
·  Act as first point of contact for all quality related topics with customers and suppliers
·  Release new suppliers according to defined quality processes
·  Ensure quality conformance of new products
·  Drive alignment of local QMS with Philips wide QMS standardization activities

You are part of

PDPC Aachen. We are researching, developing and manufacturing semiconductor detectors for the latest generation of PET/CT systems. PET is a nuclear medicine technology that can track down cancer or tumor cells by making them “glow” due to the specific metabolism of these cells. The R&D department is researching and developing the next generation chip and detector generations and performing crystal-detector performance analysis and system-level performance characterization of the photo detector tiles. PDPC Operations is c ontrolling the fabless production of the digital silicon photomultiplier and carrying out in-house product testing on wafer and assembly level.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

·  Bachelor's degree in technical area or equivalent work experience
·  +3 years of work experience in related field
·  Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485
·  Distinctive organizational skills, strong customer orientation and quality consciousness
·  Strong hands-on mentality
·  Fluent in German and English

Desired Qualification:

·  +3 years of work experience in medical device
·  Background in electronics and semiconductor business
