Job description

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will specify, design and implement major changes to existing software architecture. Define project needs. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to ensure consistency, testability and portability across products in general.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.

Sales Central, Business Analyst UI/UX

Sales Central is a fast-growing software platform owned by Product Marketing, which is responsible for the messaging and position of Oracle's market-leading offerings – Cloud Solutions (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS), Hardware Systems, and Industry Solutions. The Product Marketing teams produce core sets of content and then use Sales Central to distribute it to our global Sales Force to attract, engage, and convert prospects to customers.

Having started as a small internal website, Sales Central has become a key focal point for Product Marketing. Sales Central Mobile App was launched in June, and other exciting projects such as Presentation Builder, Chatbot, Oracle Analytics Cloud, and Content Translation are already underway. One of the many impacts of this expansion is the need for both UI/UX and Business Analyst skills.

We are looking for an energetic individual to join our Product Management Team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can coordinate across multiple concurrent projects, be an avid and active listener providing UX/UI insights and expertise, and has the drive and capability to execute under pressure.

Specific Responsibilities include:

· Mock up user interfaces to collaborate with stakeholders to refine specifications and requirements

· Develop wireframes, behavioral specifications, and personas to explore use cases

· Direct the visual appearance of new features and enhancements within Sales Central

· Work with other members of the Product Management Team to create and refine specifications for new features and improvements to the platform

· Interact with the Sales Central development teams as required

Preferred Qualifications

· Undergraduate degree in a STEM subject from top university

· 5+ years post college work experience in a technical product UI/UX role

· 2+ years post college work experience in a business analyst role

· Experience with graphic design and related software, such as Photoshop/Illustrator

· Commanding grasp of UI/UX practices and ideation tools

· Good eye for aesthetics: layout, grid systems, color theory and typography

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Other Considerations

· Must be in the Bay Area and willing to commute to Oracle HQ daily (or willing to relocate within commute distance)

· Predominantly office-based; possible occasional domestic or international travel

· Willing to work in the evening and early morning (from home) to interact with teams in India
