Job description

Work with Oracle's world class technology to develop, implement, and support Oracle's global infrastructure.

As a member of the IT organization, lead the design, development, modification, debugging, and evaluation programs for extremely complex internal systems. Provide expertise to analyze existing programs or formulate logic for new internal systems. Develop conversion and system implementation plans. Recommend changes to development, maintenance, and system standards.

Provide leadership and expertise in extremely complex internal systems, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommend and justify major changes to existing internal systems. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Ten or more years of related experience recommended.

Qualifications :

Managed Cloud Services application operations delivery team is responsible for providing technical services to support customer environment provisioning, software integration and implementation, data and environment migration, and major product upgrades for ERP, FMW & BI. Team members are recognized for product and technology expertise and understanding of how they are applied to build customer solutions. They are called upon to create standards for architecture and sizing, help customers develop solutions to solve business problems, and develop project and technical plans to upgrade software, modify configurations, change integration solutions, and add additional functionality, automation enhancements. The team has global membership and responds to customer requests and incidents around the clock, 7 days a week.

Solve complex problems related to application cloud services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence. Design, write, and deploy software to improve the availability, scalability, and efficiency of Oracle products and services. Design and develop designs, architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale distributed systems. Facilitate service capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis, and system tuning.

Understand the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of production services. Responsible for the design and delivery of the mission critical stack, with focus on security, resiliency, scale, and performance. Authority for end-to-end performance and operability. Partner with development teams in defining and implementing improvements in service architecture. Articulate technical characteristics of services and technology areas and guide Development Teams to engineer and add premier capabilities to the Oracle Cloud service portfolio. Understand and communicate the scale, capacity, security, performance attributes, and requirements of the service and technology stack. Demonstrate clear understanding of automation and orchestration principles. Act as ultimate escalation point for complex or critical issues that have not yet been documented as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Utilize a deep understanding of service topology and their dependencies required to troubleshoot issues and define mitigations. Understand and explain the effect of product architecture decisions on distributed systems. Professional curiosity and a desire to a develop deep understanding of services and technologies.

What You Need to Have

A BS or MS in Compute Science, or equivalent

Knowledge of :

·  Development in languages, such as C#, C++, Java
·  Scripting languages, such as Python, Ruby, Bash, etc.
·  Orchestration tools Ansible, Chef/Puppet & DevOps toolchain
·  Understanding of Networking and TCP/IP
·  Proficiency in Standard Internet services, such as DNS, HTTP, etc.
·  Knowledge of IT Security and compliance
·  Most importantly, the aptitude to be a good team player and the willingness to learn and implement new Cloud technologies as needed
·  Methodical approach to troubleshooting complex problems
·  Strong Communication skills and a good team player
·  Ability to interact with C Level executives
