Job description

Development and implementation of business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for a product/service or vertical market.

As a product analyst you will participate in every stage of the product life cycle to ensure product meets the needs of users. Drive the implementation of programs in support of the marketing strategy, business plans, and forecasts for assigned product lines. Maintains current status of customer specifications for existing and future products. Identify, evaluate, and recommend marketing opportunities in support of product line objectives. Drive product functionality delivering high quality product documentation. Lead products through scheduled release assisting others to manage commitments and resources. Measure and report progress and review deliverables.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Demonstrated product/project management experience. Excellent written and verbal communication. Demonstrated product/project management experience. Thrives in fast paced environment Team player. Experience using or implementing Oracle, SAP, or Peoplesoft applications. 5 years related experience and BA/BS degree in marketing or technical major preferred.

Product Marketing Content Management CoE Analyst

Product Marketing is responsible for the messaging and positioning of Oracle's market-leading offerings – Cloud Solutions (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS), Hardware Systems, and Industry Solutions. In this capacity the PM teams are responsible for producing the core set of content and tools used by our global Sales Force to attract, engage, and convert prospects to customers.

Within Product Marketing, the PM Centers of Excellence (PM-CoEs) team “Delivers a set of scalable, high value-add marketing shared services at a significantly reduced cost and with greater consistency.”

PM CoEs have been launched for…

· Marketing Operations & Analytics

· Content Production

· Content Management & Distribution

…with additional shared services coming in subsequent phases.

The Content Management & Distribution CoE is currently seeking an experienced analyst to join the U.S. team. While the CoE operates primarily out of India, we have a core U.S. presence to mainly lead projects that require frequent, real-time engagement with Product Marketing counterparts we service in the U.S. time zone. All work relates to Product Marketing's premier content distribution platform, under high visibility of executive management.

CoE Analyst Primary Responsibilities

· Systematically on-board new teams to our content distribution platform

· Design and mock-up optimized end user UX based on existing platform capabilities

· Build trusted on-going relationships with PM teams – field day-to-day questions

· Provide critical ‘day of' support

· Lead various types of projects involving changes to large volumes of content

· Develop, document, implement, and maintain key content management & distribution processes

· Provide feedback to the platform's Product Management team as ‘power users' of its content management features

Preferred Qualifications

· Undergraduate degree from top university, with focus on business or engineering

· 3+ years of hands-on experience managing large volumes of assets in content management systems

· Skilled at all aspects of project management – organize, plan, document, execute, drive, track, report

· Strong service-orientation to collaborate with customers to achieve successful outcomes, coupled with ability to push back diplomatically when necessary

· Exceptional ability to understand and apply numerical analysis, complemented with logically structured qualitative observations and arguments to drive home lucid takeaways

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to produce executive-level reports – capacity to seamlessly switch the style and depth of communications is crucial

· Solid business judgement based on gathering and processing facts and data rather than instincts

· Great attention to details and quality

· Functions well in a matrixed work environment

· Proficient with entire MS Office suite, especially with PowerPoint and Excel (inc. pivot tables, macros, etc.)

Other Considerations

· Must be in the Bay Area and willing to commute to Oracle HQ daily (or willingness to relocate)

· Up to 25% travel; possibly international

· Willingness to work in the evening and early morning from home to interact with teams in India
