Novolyze is a rapidly growing, food safety innovation firm located in Dijon (France) and the United States. Novolyze develops and manufactures dry and ready-to-use surrogate products to help food companies perform in-plant preventive control validations. Our range of dry, ready-to-use products – SurroNov® – offers the food industry a more efficient and quicker way to comply with major Food Safety regulations.
The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with a strong food science or analytical back ground. This person should be a problem-solver with the ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple competing projects. They must possess polished communication skills, including the ability to communicate fluently in English, with exceptional writing and presentation abilities. Outstanding people skills and a positive outlook is essential. This person should be able to draw insightful and accurate interpretations from their colleagues as well as ask thoughtful questions to clients in order to communicate and correspond flawlessly with both parties thus delivering compelling messages by email, phone, conference call or during in-person meetings. In depth understanding of US FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and implications for food safety validation and verification solutions is a must.
Knowledge of current microbiology methods, food safety and quality methods and research approaches is ideal but not required.
This position will be based in Dijon, France for approximately 6 months and then 18 months located in San Francisco Area, California.
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) are required.
Key Responsibilities
? The primary function of this role is to support the US sales team, to help uncover customer needs and identify Novolyze validation and verification products that will provide solutions. In order to do this, you may need to develop persuasive presentations as well as communicate directly with the customer using the most effective means.
? Be the reference person of Novolyze’ s US product conditioning and logistic facility.
? Collaborate with the Marketing and Operation Teams in order to write strong and compelling offers to clients
? Support and help cover Novolyze’s customer portfolio including food industry & equipment manufacturer customers
? Help manage long-term customer relationships
? Support inside and outside sales functions
? Requires proactivity, and customer feedback, market and competition surveillance, participate in marketing events in the area, including supporting Novolyze at conferences and trade shows.
This person will report to the Chief Scientific and Operation Officer based in France and will be part of the operations team. However, he/she will report daily to the Chief Commercial Officer
Profile Background
? Scientific/ Technical education (Engineer, MSc, Doctorate)
? Professional experience at least 1-3 years in microbiology or food safety/quality related topic would be desirable.
