POSITION: Metallurgical Process R&D Engineer
PROJECT: Lime application for metallurgical processing
The VIE work on the application of lime in mineral processes and hydrometallurgical processes linked with the extraction of metals such as alumina, gold, copper, cobalt, lithium….
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan, conduct and interpret results from laboratory experimentation
- Automation of standard experiments and process control
- Process flow sheet and mass balance modelling of metallurgical and chemical engineering processes
- Determine process operating costs based on process flow sheet models
Profile:
- Bac +5
- Metallurgical, Chemical, Industrial, Process Engineering
- Process flow sheet mass balance modelling experience
- Advanced MS-Excel and MS-Powerpoint skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Analytical and Presentation skills
- Hydrometallurgical experience is a plus
- Experience with labview and HSC Chemistry software a plus
- Languages: English fluent (written and oral), French would be beneficial but not essential
Duration: 1 year with possible renewal for 6 or 12 months.
Location:
The Business Innovation Center of the Lhoist Group. Situated in Nivelles, 30 km south of Brussels (Belgium). The work language is English Direct report to the Metallurgical Processing Expert, Non-Ferrous Mining.
