Sephora Sales & Training Manager (STM)

Territory:  NY Tri-State Area                               Reports To: Regional Director of Sales, Northeast

Job Summary

The Sephora Sales and Training Manager will focus on building the educational foundation of the Sephora Beauty Advisors and Store Leadership in the New York Tri-State Area.  The STM will grow and leverage store partnerships to maximize brand business in each of their locations.  As an STM, you will manage the business to maximize daily and monthly business goals, promotional activities and new product launches.  This position will allow you to utilize your existing skills and knowledge of our brands to positively impact our customer experience strategy in the Sephora brick and mortar doors within the assigned territory.  

Job Responsibilities

·  Responsible for weekly, monthly and yearly tracking of total retail performance within territory. Monitor ranking and competitive retail performance within each store. Ensure rank increase objectives are being met.
·  Execute education and training of newness and core.  Develop relationships and partner with key influencers that will help drive business in each store.
·  Work in conjunction with Field Sales Business Development Managers to manage Drive To Salon Partnerships.  Plan, communicate and execute all in-store events to ensure achievement of retail goal. 
·  Facilitate payments to freelance event stylists  and manage freelance budget 
·  Establish a collection of best practices and training of Business Development Managers on how to service their local Sephora stores in other areas of the country to optimize the relationships and drive the in store business
·  Monitor merchandising compliance, stock flow, and gondola/linear shopability within each store. Collaborate with store and brand leadership to identify opportunities with stock levels.
·  Ongoing communication and strategizing with leadership team regarding business performance, merchandising issues, as well as insights into store dynamics.
·  Attend and participate in sales and management training meetings and events as directed by management
·  Responsible for a minimum of 14 Sephora doors in NY, CT, Northern NJ

Experience, Competencies and Physical Requirements

·  3 to 5 years of retail management experience, luxury beauty a plus.
·  Demonstrated success in achieving selling and operational excellence
·  Strong merchandising skills and ability to interpret and influence recommendations to NYO teams
·  Highly resourceful, flexible and ability to solve problems in a timely manner.
·  Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and business partners.
·  Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
·  Excellent organizational and project management skills.
·  Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
·  Bachelor’s Degree in Management or related field of study (or equivalent work experience) required.
·  Ability to stand and move about the store more than 90% of scheduled shift.
·  Ability to lift 20lbs or more throughout the scheduled shift.
·  Ability to travel 60-80% based on business needs.
