Role

The KPMG Business School in conjunction with the Audit Function annually design and deliver all technical Audit training to ensure all staff are competent to fully deliver in their roles and meet all regulatory standards.

We are currently seeking a Qualified Audit professional who has been at manager level or above and practicing within Audit in the last two years to work with the Business School, DPP and the Audit Training Committee to design and deliver Audit staff technical content.

They will join the KPMG Business School team for 60% of their working time and work within the Audit function / DPP for the remaining 40%.

We ideally need you to have the following on your CV:

·  Fully qualified ACA accountant, having worked within an Audit practice in the last two years

·  Has reached a minimum of manager grade

·  Has a proven track record of delivering training and a keen interest in learning and development

·  Strong project management skills / administration skills

·  Highly organized and detail-oriented

·  Ability to work on own initiative and be proactive

·  Strong interpersonal skills -needs to liaise with DPP and the Audit business / Audit training committee
Your work will be varied. Below will be some of your core responsibilities:

60% of the individuals time (April - December) would be full time within the KPMG Business school. Responsibilities within the Business School would be:

·  Conduct a training needs analysis in conjunction with the Business School and the Audit training committee of Audit staff training needs

·  Design of the Audit staff technical training curriculum and all materials required (leveraging from local and global materials) for staff years one to five

·  Liaising with the business units to ensure content is practical / applicable and relevant

·  Facilitation of train the trainer events to upskill other presenters on materials

·  Delivery of the training required and support of other facilitators

·  Reporting back to the Business school and Audit training committee on programme feedback

·  Producing reports on training effectiveness / activity for the firm

·  Programme analysis and return on investment analysis
Key audit management responsibilities would make up the remaining 40% of the role.

The individual would have responsibility for a small portfolio of audit clients in a sector relevant to their previous experience, this would allow them to maintain their knowledge of current processes and procedures within the audit function, specifically this would include:

·  Planning of audit - timing, staffing and structure

·  Liaising closely with clients in relation to planning and closing meetings, and discussing business developments generally

·  Reviewing audit work papers

·  Researching and resolving technical queries from clients

·  Reviewing and finalising financial statements

·  General administration, including working capital management.
Strong training delivery and interpersonal skills, drive and enthusiasm are a pre-requisite for this role.
