IT Deskside Support Specialist

We are currently seeking to hire an IT Deskside Support Specialist who will join our IT Department on a permanent basis.

The Deskside Support Specialist will be a member of the KPMG Ireland IT organisation, working with 2nd/3rd level support for the IT organisation and the firm.

We ideally need you to have the following on your CV:

• Experience in a similar 2nd/3rd level support role, with strong technical skills.

• A good understanding of PC hardware and Windows operating systems.

• Some project management experience.

• A clear customer focus with an ability to interpret business requirements.

• An ability to work on one's own initiative and manage agreed work goals.

• Problem solving and decision making skills.

• An ability to work well within a team environment.

Your work will be varied. Below will be some of your core responsibilities:

• Resolve logged calls that have been escalated by the IT Helpdesk, within the agreed SLA and to the customer's satisfaction.

• Telecoms support, primarily involving the Aastra MX-ONE IP-based telephone system, and network within all KPMG offices.

• Ensure all incidents are properly logged and updated with sufficient detail for escalation.

• Receive, log, distribute and follow up on all incidents escalated within IT. Troubleshoot these calls to a satisfactory resolution.

• Rollout new laptops and desktops to replace older equipment, and maintain the quality of the current PC fleet.

• Support and maintain existing voice and data structured cabling.

• Administration and support of the mobile device fleet (iPhones and iPads).

• Create and update documentation.

• Liaise with 3rd party suppliers in relation to telecoms and hardware issues.

• Adhere to KPMG IT security policies, process and procedures.

The Deskside Support team operates mainly from our main offices in Dublin (Stokes Place), but working in other offices will be a requirement. Working out of hours, and in the regional offices may be required for some projects.
