Return to Consulting Programme - Tech Consulting

  • Internship
  • London, UNITED KINGDOM

Job description

We realise that it can be daunting to return to the workplace after an extended break and at KPMG we are passionate about creating an environment where people are able to bring their ‘whole selves’ to work.

Our Return to Consulting programme offers returners the opportunity to join teams within our Financial Services Technology Consulting practicse.

What is on offer?

The roles will be for a fixed 6 month period during which you will receive structured training and support. Toward the end of your contract we will have a conversation with you about the possibility of continuing on a permanent basis subject to there being an appropriate role available.

At the heart of the programme is a structured induction programme aimed at getting you up to speed with the latest industry developments, refreshing technical skills and becoming integrated into our professional services environment. You will receive ongoing support in the form of one on one coaching and a buddy. The development opportunities won’t end once the induction is finished. You will enter an ongoing training path with check-in points to evaluate progress against goals and determine additional training needs.

The flexibility we require from our workforce to meet the changing needs of our clients is matched by the intelligent working options we will discuss with you including as part of this placement and also potentially on a permanent basis including but not limited to; part-time, sliding hours and the ability to work from home when possible. We’re committed to making agile working a consideration for all and we focus on outcomes rather than the time that we spend at work.

We’re passionate about our responsibility for wellbeing, including supporting working families. Our Empowering Parents programme supports working parents at every stage of their parenting journey. This includes coaching for parents at key transition points. In addition, KPMG’s Parenting network provides support and guidance to expecting, new and experienced parents in KPMG.

KPMG recognises that many of our people have caring responsibilities in addition to their career. Our back-up dependent care offering supports those caring for children or adult relatives when their usual care arrangements fall through. The firm provides up to 10 sessions of care each year, funded through KPMG, both for children and adult dependents.

What are we looking for?

- Candidates with previous experience of working in Financial Services/Consultancy in a technology change-focused role
- Candidates will have a passion for returning or beginning a career in Consulting
- Candidates are likely to have worked on large scale projects in top tier banks, insurers or investment management organisations. Your sector familiarity and adaptability are more important to us than up to the minute subject matter expertise.

Make every future a success.
