The Team

The Clara Analytics Team brings together of a group of talented individuals that share a creative mind-set and an ambition to drive innovation and quality on our audits, through the use of data and analytics (D&A). They support our audit teams on their technology journey and ensure that we are delivering the audit of the future, today.
The Clara Analytics Team has been rolling out KPMG Automated Audit Procedures (KAAP) in the past years, a data & analytics tool that enables the firm’s audit engagement teams to extract data from clients’ ERP systems and perform automated audit procedures.

The individual will also be involved in the use of the firm’s new Clara platform.
This is a unique opportunity to broaden your horizons in the rapidly growing and evolving discipline of D&A in the audit.

The main duties and responsibilities of the job

• Processing KAAP and KPMG Clara engagements across UK audit, to include:
- assisting with obtaining data from client systems, including transfer of data to a KPMG office;
- processing client data and running routines within KAAP or Clara;
- validating the completeness and accuracy of the client data through the use of automation in the KAAP or Clara application.
• Manage the needs of multiple stakeholders:
- ensuring deadlines are met and keeping your Technical/Senior Technical Lead and audit teams updated;
- reacting quickly to any issues;
- dealing with clients/ audit teams concurrently;
- develop working knowledge of audit guidance and other technology solutions.
• Establish strong relationships with audit teams and clients.
• Prepare documentation of D&A work performed and deliverables for use by audit teams.
• Develop and implement best practice to ensure that ‘quality’ is embedded within all activities performed by the team.
• Ensure all work and developments are appropriately considered and challenged in line with audit methodology and documentation requirements.

The skills, qualifications and experience required for the job

• Proven experience in SQL, Python, SSAS and SSIS.
• Proven experience working with SAP, Oracle, or other large ERP systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proven experience working on data analytics projects.
• Comfortable working within a fast paced environment with conflicting priorities and deadlines.
• Proven experience working as a project manager
• Ability to function effectively in challenging situations/circumstances
• Proven experience working with Excel and VBA
• Ability to work as part of a wider national team of technical leads and analysts spread across the global network.
• Pro-active and innovative in approach.
• Proven experience working with the visualisation tool PowerBI
