Job Description

The Role

As the Engagement Acceptance Delivery Assistant Manager for KPMG Tax, Pensions and Legal, you will be at the heart of ensuring we meet our regulatory and commercial obligations when determining whether to act for our clients. You will be responsible for managing a team to ensuring the smooth running of the Client Engagement and Acceptance Continuance (CEAC) processes. The team will be co-ordinating engagement acceptance, Anti-money laundering and client identification checks. Utilising our systems to request conflict of interest checks to ensure compliance with auditor independence regulations. Preparation of draft engagement letters, with input and review from client facing team.
Prior experience in regulatory and risk compliance will be essential for the role.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Ensure the team provide an effective, high level of service to our clients.
- Embed a high performance culture in all aspects, leading the team to deliver the highest quality. Developing junior team members.
- Being a point of escalation for risk and regulatory compliance cases
- Monitor and provide capacity management, ensuring team are capable of delivering services at effective levels of utilisation against KPI’s.
- Identify and suggest solutions that tighten our engagement set up processes to ensure they comply with risk procedures and meet our clients changing needs.
- Managing engagement set up for our clients in a seamless manner.
- Supporting with the upkeep of operational documentation for new systems and processes, or updated existing documentation to reflect changes as a result of upgrades etc.
- Identification of operational efficiencies, proactively driving various process and systems improvements.
- Be a role model to other members of the team, by demonstrating professional attitude and behaviour at all times

Experience and Background

- Experience of working with commercial contracts, KYC, AML, or other engagement on-boarding activities.
- Be able to communicate effectively with and influence at varying levels in the firm, where appropriate, driving ideas forward and implementing effective solutions.
- Be passionate about people, supporting their personal development through structured performance management and other one to one coaching in order to help them reach their potential.
- Preferably have previous experience of resource management and change management, however this is not essential.
