You will be joining an award winning organisation with a focus on excellence, colleague engagement and development. As a valued member of the management team, you will have overall responsibility and accountability for your operational area.

YOUR ROLE

Purpose of the Shift Supervisor is to support the Operational Managers to ensure, through deployment and team management that all activity is completed in a timely and accurate manner, constantly achieving departmental KPIs. This is done by overseeing the local teams on a day to day basis with limited supervision and support.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Determining over / under capacity of work areas and allocate / escalate accordingly on a daily / weekly basis in line with forecasts
·  Reviewing and interpreting information on KPI boards and redeploying resource to meet operational needs, whilst meeting cost performance targets
·  Ensuring accurate effective team briefs and shift handovers are in place. Provide support, advice and coaching to team leaders and operatives as required
·  Respond to internal and external customer queries and requests in a professional and timely manner and carry out root cause analysis where required. Manage all people processes including recruitment, succession planning, performance management, conduct, time and attendance
·  Comply with process and procedure and all instructed Safe Working Practices including: the investigation and reporting of all accidents and incidents within the workplace, ensuring corrective measures are implemented where required.
·  Operate and interrogate Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to identify potential improvements. Promote a culture of Continuous Improvement (CI) by capturing and leading initiatives and projects
·  Develop effective plans to ensure departments are fully trained to meet all SLAs
·  Any other duties assigned

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

·  Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office Applications
·  Good knowledge of creating and maintaining spreadsheets
·  Ability of interpreting data
·  Experience of managing small teams
·  Understanding of KPIs
·  Customer service
·  Experience of managing all people processes through the lifecycle of an employee including Recruitment & Selection, Appraisal, Performance Management and Grievance
