Seafreight Pricing Analyst

Your Role

Directly reporting to the Yield Manager Seafreight, Northeast USA and is working with the pricing department with Sales Team, Accounts owners, business operations and Sea freight Trade Managers to support set growth and profit based targets for the North East Area in USA. Create analytical dashboards and gap analysis to monitor and guide improvements in productivity, carriers and customer performances. Formulate and manage replies to mid-size regional bid (RFQs) and spot quotations requests Manages the booking authorization process in coordination with the origin country and in alignment with the pricing and carrier strategy established for the North East Area in USA

Your Responsibilities

•    Create analytical dashboards to monitor and guide improvements in productivity, carriers and customer performances Main KPI’s include
o    Number of Quotes per trade lane/Branch/Customer/ Quote Owner)
o    Turnaround Time per trade lane/Branch/Owner/Customer)
o    Win ratio per trade lane/Branch/Account Owner/Customer
o    Volume performance against set Minimum Quantity Commitments (MQC): per customer/trade lane/ports pairs
o    Booking adherence to contractual agreements (Carrier and Customer level)
o    Carrier performance against committed space allocation (per trade lane/customer/ports pairs)  
•    Work with the NYC Pricing Team to formulate Responses to local/regional RFQs and local pricing requests.
•    Manage booking authorization process , validating and/or relaying pricing logic for new requests and maximizing yield through best carrier and service selection Manage pricing updates for existing customers (rates extension and/or revision, monthly market GRI’s (General Rates Increases ), quarterly bunker updates (BAF/BUC) etc.)
•    Work closely with Pricing and Yield Managers to develop pricing strategies for new/ existing customers.
•    Work closely with Trade Managers to monitor trends and carrier performance on all trade lanes

Your Skills and Experiences

•    Analytical capabilities
•    Large Data sets, Database management.
•    Process Orientated
•    Computational ability. (Eg. VBA, Tableau etc..)

The Ideal educational background includes Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or any statistical/ mathematical major.
