Join our dedicated Sea Logistics Operational Care team in Dublin and play a key role in the transportation of our customers’ goods on their journey across the globe, ensuring attention to detail and excellent customer service.

Your Role

This is an exciting time to join our Sea Logistics Operational Care Team as we embark on the transformation of our Sea Logistics Department in Ireland, focussed on the experience for our customers, enabling our people to succeed and our industry-leading technical capability. Working closely with the Customer Care Team and your Operational Care colleagues you will be responsible for executing our customers’ requirements for their transportation needs in our system and in direct communication with our providers. We are looking for a Sea Logistics expert with a strong background in planning, documentation, and forecasting and we will provide you with the tools you need to provide a world-class service to our customers in Ireland's largest Sea Logistics department.

Your Responsibilities

·  Focus on improving customer satisfaction through the accurate inputting of data and processing of shipments in the system(s) 
·  Ensure service excellence through a high level of forwarding and market knowledge, ensuring all requests are carried out to the agreed service levels, procedures and Key Performance Indicators
·  Co-ordination between the Customer Care team, hauliers and carriers 
·  Review and ensure alignment of shipping instructions to clarify any deviations or conflicts, for instance with country regulations, compliance or internal pricing information
·  Handling all shipments with a high level of care, in line with Kuehne+Nagel guidelines and procedures, and support Customer Care colleagues in the resolution of complaints
·  Work with a commercial awareness and maximise revenue gain from all activities
·  Monitor the operational performance of carriers and other vendors, escalating as appropriate where service levels and commitments are not being delivered
·  Ensure compliance with company, industry and legal standards is adhered to across the function; this incorporates Quality, Security, Health & Safety and Environment standards

Your Skills and Experiences

·  Proven experience in an excellent knowledge of Sea Logistics 
·  Demonstrated experience and a strong skill set in planning, forecasting, and transportation documentation
·  Ability to work to the required operational quality standards both through own initiative as well as building strong relationships and collaborating with the team and stakeholders
·  Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to set priorities, fulfil critical tasks on time and keep to deadlines.  
·  Resilience to manage change, embrace new technologies and quickly understand and execute new processes
·  Problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions and resolve issues in the transportation process
·  Excellent knowledge of MS Office
·  Strong communication skills with fluency in both written and spoken English
