Road Logistics FTL & LTL Pricing Specialist

Job description

Kühne + Nagel Turkey is looking for a Road Logistics FTL & LTL Pricing Specialist with a high level analytical, communicational and organizational skills for its Istanbul National Office.

Your Role

You will be responsible for creating and implement a strategy for FTL profitable business development in line with the overall company strategy, and ensuring a high level operational execution. As a Road Logistics FTL & LTL Pricing Specialist, you will be accountable for the sourcing and pricing of the FTL business at national level, for increasing the number of approved hauliers, increasing the number of round trip services and reducing the empty millage, and supporting the sales activities in farming existing business and hunting new business.

Your Responsibilities

·  Determining and co-operating in the determination of the business strategy and executing its implementation 
·  Being responsible for the FTL P/L and for the preparation, presentation and implementation of budget and targets
·  Monthly controlling and monitoring of actuals versus targets, and initiating corrective actions in case of deviations
·  Promoting customer relations and developing the existing client base as well as monitoring market trends and competitor activity in order to identify new business opportunities (acquisition candidates, new services, business partners, etc.)
·  Directing and supporting the FTL business development process (tender analysis, solution design, costing, pricing and service offering)
·  Optimizing Round Trip trucks, increase RT trucks and decrease the number of one way trucks.
·  Setting and managing FTL carrier procurement strategy, including managing local carrier´s contacts and rates negotiations, seeking to improve pricing competitivness and expand carrier pool, in aligment with national hauliers procurement guidelines and supporting intensive marketing and sales activities and maintaining personal relationship with leading customers and searching for major new accounts.
·  Monitoring and enforcing country regulatory compliance, co-operating in the development and implementation of business operation and reporting systems

Your Skills and Experiences

·  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
·  Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience in road logistics pricing is a must.
·  Solid knowledge in FTL business.
·  Proficient in MS Office Applications and PC skills.
·  Excellent analytical, communicational skills, attention to detail, highly proactive.
·  Good command in English is highly preferred.
