Continuous Improvement Analyst | Raleigh , NC USA | req48274

The Continuous Improvement Team at Kuehne & Nagel is under the Integrated Logistics Team (4PL division). Continuous Improvement works to deliver value to clients by identifying and managing projects to improve service, increase efficiency and reduce cost throughout the supply chain.

YOUR ROLE

The successful candidate will collaborate with a diverse team of professionals to identify opportunities for continuous improvement projects and initiatives. Analyst will compile information available from internal performance metrics, customer reports, process mapping and other sources to develop quantitative and qualitative support for project proposals. Additionally the CI Analyst may manage some small to medium sized improvement projects.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Solid understanding of supply chain business functions including transportation, inventory control, warehousing, purchasing.
• Utilize Excel and other available tools to conduct data mining and analysis.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to identify projects opportunities and compile a quantitative business case for support and approval of the project.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities and quantify their costs and benefits.
• Flexible and adaptable to change; able to take high-level instructions to develop detailed approach to analytical assignments.
• Capable of developing and documenting new and existing business processes to identify improvement opportunities.
• Comfortable communicating with individuals at all levels of an organization in formal, written and verbal formats.
• Comfortable working with people remotely, often via teleconference.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required to support project requirements.
• Experience working with individuals from diverse national, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• Capable of applying problem solving methodologies to propose corrective action plans, including root cause identification and proposal of prevention measures.
• Undergraduate degree in engineering, business, supply chain management or logistics
• Two years of work experience in logistics, transportation or supply chain management.
• One year work experience with data analytics
• Proficient with computers including the following applications: Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Outlook and Visio.
• Experience developing tactical approach to strategic objective.
• Ability to apply analytical concepts to a variety of data sets from different type of customers and supply chains.
• Travel
• Flexibility
• Excellent English
