Carrier Management Administrator 6 month fixed term contract

Job description

We are looking for an Administrator who will provide support to the Kuehne + Nagel Carrier Management Account team. Based within our customer service team at Wellingborough the Key Accounts team provide support to the Carrier Management teams most prestigious customers.

Your Role

Carrier Management provide bespoke shipping solutions, based on customer requirements and utilising subcontracted services. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the KNCM Account Management Team, focussing primarily on the Wesco Key Account, but will include other customers as business needs demand.

Your Responsibilities

·  Facilitate the shipping of products from one destination to another both with in the UK and internationally through the use of third party carriers
·  Arrange transportation, and orchestrate deliveries to meet customer demand with little to no delay (dedicated vehicles)
·  Prepare carrier shipments via multiple bespoke systems, both external to carriers and internal to K&N.
·  Manages activities throughout the transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met
·  Liaise with the customer via phone and emails to aid with tracking information.
·  Provide proof of delivery information as requested, ensuring correct, accurate and auditable filing of paperwork at all times
·  Providing reporting to K&N Account Manager of daily exceptions
·  Assist with the generation and supply of KPI reports

Your Skills and Experiences

·  Ability to work to a tight deadline
·  Ability to prioritise 
·  Strong skills in problem solving, decision making, organisation and attention to detail
·  Experience in a logistics environment is preferable
·  Experience of hazardous / dangerous goods is preferable but not essential
