Job Description

Kuehne + Nagel Ltd., a Global leader in International Freight Forwarding, Transportation, Customs and Logistics, seeks a dynamic and dedicated Airfreight Customer Service Representative to join its Alberta team.
Co-ordinating the day-to-day logistics activities required for the transportation and movement of goods, via Airfreight.

Responsibilities
:

-Co-ordinates the day-to-day logistics activities required for the transportation and movement of Export goods, via Airfreight.

-Plan, organize, direct and control the operations of transportation.

-Co-ordinates the day-to-day logistics activities required for the transportation and movement of Import/ Triangle shipments, via Airfreight.

-Plan, organize, direct and control the operations of transportation.

-Issues quotations in accordance with customer requirements for internal and external accounts

-Follow operations policies, procedures, standards, including safety.

-Negotiate with carriers & other subcontractors for services and preferential rates.

-Arrange for transport/shipping documentation and oversee the scheduling and dispatching of goods and the tracking and tracing of goods in transit.

-Assist O+G Manager in Day to day reporting, quotations for SEA/Overland/ Tenders / small projects

Your skills and experience

Qualifications:


- Degree/Diploma in International Business, Transportation, Logistics or a related field preferred;

- 3+ years' freight forwarding experience in Canada; Oil and Gas experience preferred;

- Have hands on airfreight experience in Canada and an understanding of the airfreight market;

- Ability to work with stringent deadlines and deal with varied requirements from a high demanding customer base;

- Excellent customer service experience required, additional administrative / data entry experience;

- Excellent communication in English (verbal and written);

- Strong organizational and time management skills required, including the proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines;

- Proven ability to work well both independently and as part of a team required;

-Proficient computer skills required (Microsoft Word & Excel)
