1st Shift Inventory Control/Forklift Operator | Indianapolis, IN USA | req46462
YOUR ROLE
The Inventory Control/Forklift Operator is responsible for moving materials within the warehouse and the loading/unloading of materials onto or from vehicles utilizing a forklift, reach-truck, order picker, pallet jack or other heavy material handling equipment as required. The Inventory Control Clerk is a hands-on representative whose job is to help facilitate all basic inventory control functions including but not limited to overseeing and maintaining supply of product, researching and resolving discrepancies, ensuring that stock and locations are accurate.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Use material handling (MH) equipment to load and unload designated trailers
• Use MHE to move and store materials within the warehouse
· Receives and counts items in the warehouse inventory and records the data either manually or on a computer.
· Will compare the quantities of items physically present in the warehouse against inventory records
· Will assist in researching and resolving inventory discrepancies. May be required to adjust errors in the system, under the direction of the Supervisor.
· Unpack and pack items into stock. Keeps the stocked items organized and readily accessible for Pickers.
· Will examine inventory for defects, wear or damage, and reports any discrepancies.
· Monitors inventory levels to determine if replenishment is required.
· Will perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
· 1 year forklift experience required
· Strong PC skills including proficiency in WMS applications and Microsoft Office.
· Detail-oriented with strong clerical skills. Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
· Ability to communicate with various levels of the organization.
· Must have good math skills.
· Ability to establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
