We have an opening for you to grow with us as an IT Engineer, in the Infrastructure Compute and Storage Delivery team at our Oak Brook, IL or Battle Creek, MI, location. This critical role will help enable an agile and cost-effective infrastructure by supporting the build and implementation of our enterprise hybrid cloud-based environments, providing a robust base infrastructure for multiple business projects and a solid virtual/cloud build baseline to enable quick business delivery and stable ongoing operation.

HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

· Utilizing Server Expertise: You will be responsible for collaborating with the architect to contribute to infrastructure designs. You will then take ownership of the building and implementation of virtual and public cloud-based infrastructure across multiple Kellogg locations and cloud providers.
· Project Ownership: You will be responsible for ensuring infrastructure requests are delivered on time, in scope and on budget. You will also be documenting new implementations and ensuring proper handover to sustainment teams
· Building Relationships: You will be working closely with your direct team on projects, ensuring that you are following best practices and company processes. You will be working with other global IT teams to answer user questions and provide training.
· Continuous Learning: You will be responsible for participating in internal training programs as well as cloud vendor training programs to guarantee that you are able to utilize technologies and tools efficiently and effectively

Required:

·  High School Diploma or GED
·  Some experience using and managing public cloud based infrastructure environments (ex. AWS, MS Azure, Rackspace, etc.)
·  Experience managing Windows and Red Hat Linux OS systems and ability to develop scripts (using PowerShell and Unix shells) to automate administration processes
·  Ability to manage resource capacity on virtual/cloud based server environments
·  Strong technical problem solving, teamwork and communication skills
·  Aptitude for detail-oriented work and the ability to work in a virtual team environment
·  Must be a confident, self-starter, self-motivated individual who really enjoys the challenges that come with managing a large scale virtualized server environment
Bonus Points:

·  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
·  Experience managing and configuring HP Proliant servers
·  RHCE and MCSE Certifications
·  Understanding on enterprise scale VMWare Virtualized environments using x86 based hardware.
·  Project Management experience
