C‐SATS offers a personalized performance management platform developed by a team of surgeons,
engineers and biostatisticians at the University of Washington. C‐SATS is subscription based and enables surgeons to upload surgical videos for assessment by expert surgeons and trained reviewers who provide objective and confidential feedback on technical skills.

The Opportunity

We are seeking smart, detail-oriented, mission-driven people to join us in making healthcare safer by training our artificial intelligence to recognize errors and other attributes that impact patient care. You will be asked to read comments from surgeons or watch surgical videos, and tag them with appropriate descriptions. This information will feed into our ML models and help to create a scalable platform that can predict the quality of surgery.

Job Description

The Annotator is responsible for:
· Analyzing comments from Expert Reviewers to identify common themes and sentiments
· Labeling comments with appropriate tags
· Building a dictionary of definitions
· Watching surgical videos to identify key activities, such as instruments used, suturing, etc.
· Developing the “ground truth” for our proprietary machine learning platform – the AI platform for surgery

Desired profile

Qualifications :

·  Excellent communication, writing and computer skills
·  Ability to come up to speed quickly with software applications (e.g Slack, etc.)
·  Entrepreneurial drive who can work in a fast-growing, often ambiguous, startup environment
·  Well-organized with demonstrated attention to detail
·  Mission-driven with a passion for healthcare quality and patient safety
·  Bonus: Experience in healthcare settings with an understanding of human anatomy and various medical procedures, including common surgeries
