Job description

JPMorgan Global Wealth Management Technology is looking for an experienced Tech Product Owner to join the team building the strategic Global Wealth Management Middleware Platform. It is expected that the Tech product Owner will work closely with multiple co-located scrum teams, as well as teams located in other offices, to drive understanding of functional requirements, testing success criteria and end user expectations. This will involve working closely with our partners in the Middle Office and Operations teams and occasionally Front Office across locations to understand requirements and expectations. The Tech Product Owner will be asked to play a leadership role in the analysis, planning and delivery of the migration from the current legacy application towards the strategic platform.

 

The Wealth Management Global Middleware Technology Team has teams located in Jersey City NJ, Geneva Switzerland, Glasgow UK and Bangalore India.  As a global unit we are delivering on a development effort to provide the Wealth Management business with a robust, configurable and scalable platform for the orders execution and trades bookings for discretionary and brokerage flows across locations.  We are delivering in an agile manner, leveraging firm wide strategic technology platforms and infrastructure. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

·  Partnering with the discretionary and brokerage Middle Office and Operations Product Owners and business units to understand functional and data requirements for multiple business processes.
·  Perform a deep dive analysis of the existing systems capabilities
·  Partner in analyzing and developing solutions to solve complex business problems with members of the broader team.
·  Documentation of requirements, ideally with Spec by Example documents when appropriate.
·  Documentation of test cases and success criteria.
·  Close partnership with software engineers on the team to automate as much testing as possible.

Qualifications

·  Solid experience in business analysis – track record of, and able to evidence, a history of successful delivery of requirements, testing and ultimately software platforms.
·  Product knowledge: Equity, Exchange Traded Funds, Mutual Funds, Fixed Income
·  Proven track record of working with business partners to gather requirements, understand and document
·  Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field with a focus on technology or business curriculum.
·  Experience with Asset Management and/or  Investment Banking and knowledge of Investments
·  Experience in the adoption / implementation of Agile / Scrum.  History of actively participating in all Scrum ceremonies and familiarity of terms.
·  Proven ability to ensure that risks and issues are escalated and addressed in a timely manner.
·  Effective influencing skills and an ability to work with a diverse team of technologists

 

Preferred Skills:

·  Must be detail oriented, needs to be able to investigate and solve for the details independently by partnering with relevant technology or business colleagues
·  Able to analyze and develop SQL queries as well as related debugging activities within an application. Strong affinity for technology.
·  Ability to organize/manage multiple priorities and projects coupled with the flexibility to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills / Ability to run meetings and drive agenda
·  Experience in environments that deal with PI data (sensitive) and knowledge on Data Encryption and Data Masking.
·  Experience working closely with AD architects and Design Authorities
