This is an Analyst level position on the Research Team of the Infrastructure Investments Group (IIG), a $10+bn growing group focusing on private investments in J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s Alternatives platform. Infrastructure Research Team performs various functions for the IIG, including submitting independent analyses of business plans and underwriting assumptions to the investment committee, studying and identifying macro and micro trends at the asset class and sector level in the very wide infrastructure space and presenting our ideas and views to investors, investment company management teams and prospects both verbally and in writing. To be successful in the role, the candidate will require strong analytical and technical capabilities, and ability to clearly communicate in various settings to various stakeholders. The position is to be based in London.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop, analyse and maintain time series and cross-section data from various third party sources for customized analyses
• Identify key value drivers for various types of infrastructure investments for underwriting and asset management purposes
• Enhance quantitative and qualitative frameworks for portfolio analysis and construction focusing on the infrastructure space
• Create and maintain data sets and presentations, e.g., flipbooks, market outlooks, etc.
• Draft top quality research pieces that assist in positioning infrastructure as an asset class
• Proactively interact with all stakeholders in IIG as well as broader J.P. Morgan teams as necessary

Qualifications

o Minimum of 2 years of work experience following completion of undergraduate degree
o Candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum have overall GPA of a 3.2
o Strong quantitative and computer skills, especially proficient in database design and maintenance tools
o Strong familiarity and preferably expertise in economics, advanced statistics, asset allocation concepts
o Excellent analytical ability to analyse data trends, create and modify presentations, views, explanations
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills for the delivery of created material in a compelling way
o A strong work ethic and a results-oriented, team-first attitude
o Ability to manage and support multiple competing projects efficiently
o Familiarity with one or more infrastructure sectors is highly desirable but not required
