You will architect and develop professional software tools for verifying modem device functionality and features as well as characterizing modem performance at the physical layer during various phases of modem development and commercialization as a member of the RF infrastructure team.

The RF Infrastructure team is responsible for set-up, automation, maintenance, enhancement, support of the modem HW & FW test infrastructure and processes.

You should have experience in using / programming / script development on various commercial test equipment (R&S, NI, Anritsu, Keysight, Anite, etc) is required for validating the functionality and performance of advance modem features such as Carrier Aggregation, MIMO, and a variety of other proprietary modem capabilities.

Experience in developing system level test plans required as well as ability to digest / analyze performance logs and 2G / 3G / 4G / 5G spec knowledge of physical layer is desired.

The specific job charter entails pre/post silicon verification of the modem subsystem, with primary focus on the physical layer modem firmware, hardware, and systems algorithms. You will be working with a multi-disciplinary team (Modem Firmware/Software, FW/SW integration, Modem Systems, Modem HW, RF Software, as well as Modem Systems Test) in development AND production environment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:

Master's or Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Digital Signal Processing, or Communication Systems

Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience, OR BS degree with minimum 5 years of experience in the following areas:

Programming skills in Python and C/C++; SQL
Modem physical layer design, performance analysis/characterization, debug/issue analysis.
Physical layer integration & test comprised of various subsystems: FW, HW, L1 SW, RF FW.
Operation and test script development for any of the following physical /protocol layer commercial test equipment for 2G, 3G, 4G technologies: R&S, National Instruments, Keysight/Agilent or Anritsu.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree: Communication systems knowledge.
  • Wireless protocol stack knowledge for any of the following air interface standards : CDMA2000, GSM/ GPRS /EDGE, UMTS, LTE, TD-SCDMA
