We are looking for an experienced Field Application Engineer (FAE) for our IOT Technical Sales Team. This is a replacement role for covering existing large customers in the German market. Over the last decade we have established the critical customer relationship and are already strategically well aligned in our vision of the connected future. We are looking for an individual to unleash this unique potential and turn the shared visions into tangible Design Win opportunities. The ability to translate immediate and long-term technical and commercial customer challenges into an Intel value proposition is key.

In this commissioned sales position the individual will be responsible for developing a technical engagement plan across multiple IOT Technologies and Customer platforms that defines the joint opportunities for growth. Primary focus will be on board and system level embedded compute platforms in verticals like Industrial, Retail/Digital Signage, Healthcare and Infrastructure. The planning and execution of this strategy happens in close cooperation with the respective account managers in the team as well as sales resources in other geos. A key part of the role is a close interaction with key Intel business units.

The Field Application Engineer will be responsible for influencing technology decisions for a wide range of Intel products and bring customer platform decisions to a design win for Intel. Assist the customer throughout the development cycle to ensure successful completion of the product. Provide timely feedback to the owning division on product and strategy gaps to ensure the Intel is capable of responding to and/or anticipating changes needed to continue growth. Understand competitor's strengths and weaknesses relative to the appropriate technical strategy.

Desired profile

Qualifications

·  Engineering degree with a strong focus on compute hardware design needed for the understanding of relevant products, systems and technologies
·  Ideally experience in designing embedded IA based solutions hard- and software
·  3+ years strategic technical sales or customer facing experience with an established track record of exceeding plan over multiple years. A good level of theoretical, practical, and industry knowledge
·  Ability to synthesize complex information into actionable plans and narratives would be advantageous
·  A good team player easily forming strong and extended networks with good communication skills and comfortable communicating at all levels up to Executive levels
·  Ability to accommodate frequent customer travel
·  Highly motivated and eager to constantly expand technical and interpersonal skills
·  Proficiency with relevant IT tools and systems
·  Fluency in English and German is a must
