The Automotive Software Architect is responsible for the creation of vehicle level software systems architecture design and associated architectural standards. This position cascades the architecture for implementation to the product development team.

The Embedded Software Systems Architect works to insure compliance to standards.

Your responsibilities will include but are not be limited to:

Interact with multiple technologists in the company and within the industry as well as between developers and project managers to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development.

Understand all requirement sources customer, vehicle, regulatory, etc. as inputs for developing vehicle level software architecture.

High understanding and relevant technical experience with both system and software architecture design.

Provide technical leadership and decision making to the product software development teams for software systems related matters.

Supports the selection of appropriate design solutions, considers hardware and software design spaces when developing recommended architectural solutions. Define, develop and maintain system architectural standards companywide. Perform pathfinding and surveys technologies.

The SW Architect will: Work with Marketing and Systems Architecture to define the PRD-level requirements and trace to MRD requirements.

Decompose PRD requirements into SW Architecture with component-level SW requirements traced to PRD requirements.

Deliver the PRD Deliver the SW Architecture Spec Deliver the SRS.

The SW architect is the technical authority for all the product software they are the go-to SW technical person.

They have a deep technical understanding of the software and will make recommendations and decisions on the SW implementation.

They will work with other organizations across Intel to develop unified SW architectures and define SW interfaces.

They will work with the SW Lead to provide guidance on SW implementation, Allocation of requirements to particular releases, etc.

They will work with other SW Architects to ensure that unified design approaches and commonality of software is maintained across ASG programs.

Desired profile

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or similar technical discipline At the BS level, a minimum of 9 years, at the MS level, 7 years and at the PhD level, 4 years of software architecture experienceProven track record as a product architect having driven transformation projectsStrong programming and analytic skills with C++ on Linux or RTOS'sStrong experience in designing and developing networking systems with knowledge of networking conceptsKnowledge of computer security applications firewall, anti-virus, IPS, anti-malware, etc
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with virtualization technologiesExperience/knowledge of software defined networking and network function virtualization Experiences with UML, SysML modelling and associated tools e.gEnterprise Architect, MagicDraw, RhapsodyExperience in In-Vehicle SystemsSpecific knowledge in one or multiple areas out of Audio/DSP, Security, Functional Safety, RTOS, Embedded Linux, Car Network CAN, Flexray, LIN, Ethernet protocol s TCP\IP, RPC, GPB, Android Experience in multi-core Software Architecture DesignExperience with Requirements Management using tools like DOORS Ability to utilize both technical and leadership experienceStrong analytical skillsExcellent English communication skills, both written and verbalExperience with automotive software modeling tools and software architectures and standards e.g. AUTOSAR, Genivi, etc. and with Automotive SPICE, CMM, or other software development process modelsCommunication skills in German is a plus
