ABOUT THE JOB
As an Assistant at IKEA Kompakt St.Pölten you have a dynamic and diversified position. Your work close together with the operations Manager and the commercial team in the matrix store. Your challenge will be to optimise sales and profitability also within IKEA Food by leading and inspiring your team and combining your knowledge of the IKEA product range with your knowledge of the local market and the needs of customers.

YOUR ASSIGNMENT
Your tasks will include:

·  Ensure you have the right number of competent co-workers in the right place at the right time and securing that they are fully able and available to serve customers and actively help them to buy.
·  Ensure the shop is in excellent shape as new and fully and efficiently stocked with the four merchandising basics in place at all times and that the IKEA product range is presented in ways that inspire and satisfy customers.
·  Ensure your team has all the correct knowledge about the product range and the IKEA services so that they can share this with IKEA customers to improve their overall shopping experience.
·  Understand the different IKEA sales and communication channels and IKEA know-how in order to make the best commercial use of this information for different customers.
·  Take responsibility for your Store goals and secure that your action plan ensures the country priorities. You follow up and take action accordingly by using proven solutions, good examples and finding new ways if needed.
·  You and your team actively sales steer to the top home furnishing areas, families and products in order to maximise sales and long-term profitability, while keeping costs at a minimum.   
·  You act quickly on commercial opportunities; changing availability of products (overstock and out of stock) and customer feedback (10 most asked questions).
·  You keep an active eye on the competition and take appropriate action when necessary.
·  You develop your team and its individual members and ensure you have a succession in place.
·  You actively promote the IKEA social and environmental commitment and work with your team to understand how, together, you can contribute to sustainability. 
·  You and your team have an understanding of life at home for customers and you lead the store in the seasonal transformation throughout the exhibition in order to meet customers’ needs.
·  You are able to undertake processes that affect not only your department but the matrix store team in order to support the entire store’s improvement.
·  You are an excellent ambassador of the IKEA values whereby you promote those behaviours in your department and within the store.
·  You and your team secure an excellent phasing in and phasing out of both the seasonal outdoor/summer range as well as the holiday/winter range.  
YOUR PROFILE
Your knowledge, skills and experience include:

·  You have an interest in home furnishing and people’s everyday life at home.
·  You have the ability to lead, inspire and motivate a large Team of co-workers while managing and developing their competence needs.
·  You have experience of actively selling through understanding your customers and their needs.
·  You are good at prioritising and organising your work and the work of others using commercial priorities in order to make the most efficient use of time available.
·  You have a proven record as a problem-solver and a decision-maker who excels in a fast-paced retail environment.

Sa von 08:30 bis 18:00 Uhr
