We are seeking an Agile Project Manager to manage our Cognitive delivery engagements across Australia and New Zealand. The Agile Project Manager is an industry certified Agile practitioner with a minimum of 6 year's (Full time equivalent) experience as Agile Iteration Manager and a minimum of 1 year of experience (Full time equivalent) as a Delivery Coach (Program and Enterprise preferred).

The Agile Project Manager is accountable for the financial and commercial performance of projects and delivery compliance with business controls set down by IBM systems. IBM's Worldwide Project Management Method and PM System approach provide a project management framework for managing both the business management requirements and the technical method requirements for projects at IBM.
The Agile Project manager will fully adopt the methods and knowledge of the IBM Project Management System and apply techniques in project delivery derived from IBM's Business Management Systems (BMS), Project Management Systems (PMS) such as SAFe, DAC and relevant Technical Methods such as Scrum (preferred), Kanban, XP or OpenUP.

Roles and Responsibilities

·  Leadership
·  Within solutioning opportunities, consult to bid teams on project design, sprint/iteration scoping and estimating, team design and reviewing/assuring proposal offers.
·  Within delivery projects, as the accountable resource, implement business and technology solutions to the contracted scope using Agile techniques.
·  Works with multiple teams potentially across multiple projects. Supports and mentors the Product Owners and Iteration Managers to create a healthy backlog.
·  Leads and coaches teams (and the wider organisation) in Agile values, principles, behaviours, practices and frameworks.
·  Management
·  Drives clear direction and ownership of the project success, able to present and communicate effectively at C-Level
·  Establish Scrum teams and ceremonies (sprint planning meeting/backlog scrubbing, Daily Scrum stand-up, sprint review meeting, Showcases and retrospectives).
·  Manages multi-vendor and complex systems integration projects, working in a distributed team environment
·  Leads global team and manages team performance
·  Works with the Iteration Manager to establish Agile processes and continuous improvements.
·  Administration
·  Deliver projects within the triple constraint boundaries, commercial and contractual obligations.
·  Manage internal and client stakeholders including delivery governance structures and communications.
·  Give-Back
·  Runs Agile training (and Train-the-Trainer) sessions as needed
·  Improves the overall Agile maturity of individuals, teams and the organisation
·  Helps to manage and mitigate project risks
The Candidate shall:
·  In the first year, complete the mandatory training and education as prescribed by the IBM Worldwide Program and Project Management method and ongoing, maintain a minimum of 40 hours per year of relevant continuous professional development (CPD) in the field of Agile.
·  Maintain and grow industry expertise in the target sectors for IBM's Global Business Services; including but not limited to Financial Services (IB, RB, Insurance), Public Sector (Federal and State), Communications and Distribution (Manufacturing through Retail).
·  Maintain and grow a working knowledge of technology innovation trends and the applicability of Agile practices to the implementation of such technologies as IoT, Blockchain, Cognitive and Advanced Analytics.
·  Demonstrate proven and significant experience applying techniques for high performing Agile delivery engagements in complex situations - specifically demonstrated optimisation of agile teams, acceleration of velocity, accountable for managing difficult stakeholder situations and adept at handling difficult conversations
·  Showcase a pedigree of leading external client (customer) projects at the enterprise level, embedding to client culture and driving performance in cross-functional teams.
·  Provide a strong experience of running Agile/Iterative SI Projects involving Integration of COTS/Legacy applications in a complex environment Successful candidates need to have Australian Permanent Residence of Australian Citizenship.
