2019 Proposal Hub Designer intern

  • St Leonards (City of Greater Geelong)
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Design/UX/UI

Job description

Are you studying a graphic design, visual arts, or similar degree?
Are you interested in getting real world experience and work in a globally- recognised technology consulting company?

If yes, read on!

The Proposal Hub Designer intern will be part of the A/NZ Sales and Offering team. This is a small team of Global Business Services (GBS) consulting professionals who are responsible for driving discipline in the sales process, knowledge of the key strategic offerings for GBS, and quality repeatable materials and proposals for those offerings.

The A/NZ Proposal Hub Designer intern will be based in the St Leonards office and will work in a team of 3-4 graduates. The Proposal Hub has two main objectives:
1. To provide sales process advice, and
2. To build quality proposal and repeatable offering materials.

Responsibilities for this role include:
·  Creative interpretations, within IBM's corporate brand framework, of a client's business need and the IBM proposal materials to fulfill those needs.
·  Challenging the ‘norm' of proposals and suggesting new and more creative ways to present our image to clients.
·  Development of templates for practitioners to use for future similar deals, assisting the business to have greater speed to market.
·  Reviewing messaging and content of existing proposals and improving these before they are sent to clients.
·  ‘Digitising' our sales approaches – for example, moving away from Powerpoints to interactive presentations, videos, demos etc.
·  Development of the processes of the design section of the Hub (e.g. key questions for the receiving appropriate briefs)
This role would be an excellent experience for a Designer looking for a career in a creative agency, as the Hub is essentially an internal creative agency providing work for requested projects to a series of internal clients.

The successful candidate will need to be able to communicate across a broad spectrum of professionals, including interaction with GBS Partners. The role is heavily weighted to creative skills, but the successful candidate also requires to be organised, and to have great communication skills.
