Assistant Engineer (Repair & Maintenance)

Job description

You will be responsible to provide an excellent and consistent level of service to your customers.The Assistant Engineer (Repair & Maintenance - Builders/Interior) is responsible to assist in the maintenance of guestrooms, grounds and building finishes & facilities of the hotel.

Qualifications :

·  Possess an Engineering Diploma/Degree in Facility Management, Building, Interior or Engineering with relevant experience in building soft finishes, interior or equivalent.
·  Coordinates with Housekeeping, Front Office, F&B Team on the repair and maintenance work of guestrooms, event spaces and F&B outlets in the hotel.
·  Engage vendors and suppliers for major repair works in the hotel according to hotel's procurement policies.
·  Supervises and manages in-house craftsmen and external contractors on repair & maintenance work in the hotel.
·  Procurement of parts and equipment for R&M team.
·  Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
·  Possess good creative-thinking, problem-solving and good communication skills.
·  Pro-active, independent and able to work with minimum supervision.
·  General knowledge of building soft finishes and building systems such as ACMV, electrical & plumbing.
·  Prior experience in the hotel industry will be an added advantage.
