Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s Storage Performance Data Engineering Organization is seeking a Data Engineer Intern to work in the Fort Collins, CO office. You'll be part of a specialized team that develops, tests, validates and analyzes industry leading storage products' performance data.

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about applying cutting edge data science methods and technologies to solve challenging data engineering problems related to improving data quality, enhancing analytical capabilities and providing meaningful, actionable insights. You will be part of a very talented team working in an R&D lab environment where we investigate and provide solutions and tools for storage array performance data questions and problems.

Education and Experience Required:

·  Bachelors degree in CS or equivalent
·  1st year of Master's program in data science completed
·  Strong development skills in Python
·  Solid database / data lake and/or object storage experience and skills
·  Working knowledge of C++ and/or Java
·  Experience with Linux systems and bash scripting
·  Knowledge of distributed computing, VMs, containers, orchestration and automation frameworks - Apache family of tools preferred
·  General understanding of Computer Architecture - storage systems familiarity preferred
·  Familiarity with tools such as pandas, ipython, and jupyter is highly desirable
·  Familiarity with performance testing and engineering and/or modeling and simulation will be advantageous

·  Ability to work full time (40 hours per week) throughout summer on site in our Fort Collins, CO offices.

·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
