Job description

A Spa Therapist is responsible for providing professional treatments and services for guests, including but not limited to body and facial treatments, massages, home care advice and tour of the facilities. Maintaining safety and cleanliness and ensuring guest satisfaction regarding all areas of Spa services in accordance with company standards.

What will I be doing?

As a Spa Therapist, you are responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

· Perform all massage and treatments available in our Spa menu to high standard.
· Provide courteous and efficient guest service from point of arrival through check out
· Up sell retail items.
· Accurately schedule, modify, confirm and cancel all and any all massage reservations
· Accurately explain spa treatment menu and packages to guests
· Greet and welcome all incoming and outgoing guests and staff in accordance to Brand Standards
· Orient the guests through our Fitness facility, greet guests and provide personal guest service.
· Attend Hilton Training sessions as well as complete all required on-line trainings and participate in hotel and departmental meetings as required
· Ensure high standards of cleanliness in the department
· Report any maintenance issues to Spa Team Leader
· Assist in all areas of the operations as requested by Spa Team Leader
· Be fully aware of current and future services offered by the hotel
· Ensure that departmental operations budget is adhered to, maximizing revenues and minimizing expenses
· Accurately process all billing and posting for spa and retail services: report any overages and shortages to Spa Team Leader
· Maintain the quality of service and overall appearance of locker areas, lounge area and restrooms
· Ensure proper cleanliness of locker room, lounge, steam/sauna room, prep room and restrooms
· Ensure stocking of water and other beverages and set up and break down of beverage and fruit station
· Assist guests and provide personal training sessions, if necessary
· Ensure audio-visual equipment is well maintained and in good condition
· Ensure high standards of cleanliness in the department

What are we looking for?

A Massage Therapist serving Hilton Brand hotels and vacations is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

·  Australian or foreign recognized Certificate IV in massage Therapy or above.
·  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
·  Experience in hospitality or customer service industry is requires
·  Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to effectively communicate with guests and colleagues
·  Ability to speak effectively in front of groups of customers or employees of the organization
·  Good problem solving skills and the passion to Make things Right for the customer.
·  At least 1 year experience in the spa or hospitality industry

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

·  Experience in a resort or wellness related field
