We are looking for a category team member (m/f) in our Strategic Sourcing department in the area of packaging materials Europe, located in Düsseldorf, Germany. You work in direct cooperation with the Global Supply Chain Company team in Amsterdam and Singapore as well as with a network of other colleagues worldwide. Based in the headquarter of Henkel the regional sourcing team in Europe is on top the key interface between the Global Supply Chain Company, international marketing and the packaging development for all three different business units.

What we offer

· Responsibility for managing purchasing projects to reach saving and/or quality targets, evaluating and managing the current and potential supplier landscape and developing new supplier potentials esp. in the area of innovation and sustainability
· Understanding the business needs and regional supplier potentials and linking this to the global sourcing strategies
· Cooperation with the marketing and R+D teams of the business units in order to identify projects leading to cost reduction or service improvements
· Attainment and documentation of sustainable total value chain and industry insight / knowledge of the categories and accountability for periodic progress measurement
· Research and maintenance of supplier information in the area of responsibility in order to provide reliable price forecasting for business planning

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Who we are looking for

·  University degree (Bachelor/Master)
·  Ideally 1-2 years of experience in purchasing / supply chain
·  Strong analytical and conceptual skills, as well as experience in working with Microsoft office programs
·  General technical affinity and interest for packaging & production technologies/processes
·  Strong negotiation and convincing capabilities
·  Team player with very good communication and network skills
·  International background (working experience, international studies etc.)
·  English skills are indispensable. Other languages esp. German are a plus
·  International mobility to develop your career further is expected e.g. Latin America, Middle East/Africa, Asia Pacific
