The Japan E-Commerce Specialist, will be primarily responsible for aspects related to Gucci.com online merchandising to ensure that the contents for the Japan Gucci.com E-commerce site is accurate and supports sales goals while enhancing deep understanding of Gucci brand and Omni-channel strategy.

Key Accountabilities:

E-Com Product Contents

Responsible for new collection launches and maintaining the site merchandising and visual merchandising, using Hybris tool (Contents Management System) following Japan eCommerce buying direction. Ensure the site reflects the correct product assortments working closely with eCom Contents Manager and E-Merchandiser to achieve smooth operations. Suggest improvements on Japanese product copy, visual layout and usability.

Products Copy

Responsible for maintaining the best copywriting. Ensure best product description (more than 4000 styles) and provide feedback to eCom Contents Manager and WW Contents team to improve the quality of translations.

Product Availability

Ensure timely & best availability of products, especially on key items with E-Merchandiser and eCom Inventory & Operations Manager. Also, ensure best availability of items featured in offline and online marketing campaigns, working closely with Marketing team.

Contents Planning

Responsible for planning the visual rotation of homepage, heroes, and in-site marketing.

QA

Responsible for site functions are working properly at all times and fix issues with technical team.

Ecards

Plan ecard (email marketing) themes and deployment timing in coordination with Consumer Management, Marketing and Merchandising teams. Suggest how to improve ecard KPIs (open rate, click rate, traffic and conversion) Propose A/B test strategy.

Reporting

Responsible for reporting daily, weekly, monthly contents-related KPIs such as availability, clicks, photography coverage...etc., using contents management system and Google Analytics tool.

Ad-hoc Projects

Responsible for new project preparations and market research, as well as executing the project launches with the eCom team members. Constantly identify opportunities and seek new initiatives to maximize sales.

Experience

·   Must have minimum 2 -5 years in contents management in an eCommerce retailer with high volume of styles experience.
·   Must have native-level of written skills in Japanese
·   Excellent Written English skills and verbal skills (Preferably TOEIC score 800 +) to liaise with WW teams and management.
·   Must be proficient on PC in Excel, PowerPoint, Word
·   Must be able to execute timely. Develop a plan, schedule and work backwards to achieve the goal leading indirectly by influence others to the common goal.
·   Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Can effectively communicate rationale to management.

·   Ability to enjoy the process of creating new approaches in a matrix environment, and solve problems while identifying improvements in processes.
·   Ability to "evangelize" about digitalization teams around with patience in a collaborative leadership style.
·   Ability to construct strategies to educate Gucci.com visitors about products characteristics, selling points according to their stage of understanding (new visitor, repeater, Gucci fan etc.)
·   A strong affinity for contents presentation and usability on Mobile (Smartphones/Tablet) a plus
·   Potential to go beyond the Gucci eCom Contents job and participate in the development of pioneering first-in-class digital experience for Gucci visitors and customers.
