Role Summary/Purpose

The Software Verification Engineer supports development of test for new products and design changes.
Essential Responsibilities

• Execute test procedures.
• Offer suggestions to refine and automate test procedures.
• Verify filed reported issues on time and update test procedures accordingly if needed.
• Follow the requirements from functional performance, Reliability, Regulatory needs, to make verification plan/verification protocols and do the verification tests.
• Write test cases, test records in compliance with GE development process in English.
• Verify product manuals before formal release.
• Co-work with cross-functional team to safely release product software.
• Periodically review and summarize the testing skills and share with team.
• Support development teams and provide need pre-qualification and verification testing.
• Support the qualification of lab area productivity improvement efforts, including testing, building fixtures, calibration and data collection.
• Provide knowledge of test equipment set-up, functional operation, and interconnect of related equipment.
• Review necessary support documentation and maintain documentation for each test in a neat and organized fashion.
Qualifications/Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree or above in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or related field.
2. Understanding of qualification of equipment and test procedures.
3. Ability to write reports and procedures, and to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and engineers.
4. Strong interpersonal skills, including good technical communication and effective collaboration with cross-functional team.
5. Previous project or team experience.
6. Fluent written and oral English language.
Desired Characteristics

1. 1 year + design or 3 years’ + test experience with electronic/automation systems/computer control systems.
2. Experience in developing test tools to improve productivity.
3. Experience in electronic design/system integration/V&V test in medical devices /in a health-care related field is preferred, but not a must.
4. Knowledge of FDA, MDD, IEC, and ISO regulations and guidelines.
5. Good communication skill in Engligh.
