Role Summary/Purpose
The Technical Trainer (m/f) will interact with and train customers on the full line of Concept Laser Cusing machines. Additionally, they will provide field service support occasionally.
The Technical Trainer will:
· Hold training classes
· Be a subject matter expert in their field
· Have the ability to travel to customers upon request
· Provide field service engineering support occasionally
Essential Responsibilities
· Be responsible for delivering technical training courses on the full line of Concept Laser Cusing machines
· Deliver multiple levels of training including:
· Entry Level Operations
· Concept Laser Software Training
· Advanced Applications and Machine Service Training
· Deliver training to internal GE employees as well as external customers
· Be responsible for continuing to develop training material and delivery components in a fastgrowing business group
· Maintain training records via ServiceMax software, and be expected to organize upcoming training schedules for multiple clients at a time
This position demands a heavy travel schedule, up to 80% travel on a regular basis
Qualifications/Requirements
· B.S. Engineering Degree: Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, Industrial, Electrical or equivalent knowledge
· Experience in an engineering role (an additive manufacturing background would be a plus)
· Ability to deliver and create presentations in a variety of formats to all levels of customers or employees
· Willingness to travel extensively (up to 80% on a regular basis)
Desired Characteristics
· Significant experience in an engineering role, preferably with an additive manufacturing background
· CAD Experience is preferred
· Strong personal skills as role will include client facing responsibilities
· Experience with project leadership / management is strongly preferred
