Role Summary/Purpose

The Staff Risk Analyst will be responsible for executing various cyber security risk programs within GE Aviation to improve the compliance posture of the business. The Staff Risk Analyst will own execution on a variety of initiatives including identity and access management and application resiliency. Communicates across direct organization and across the Risk & Compliance function in area of expertise.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Comprehensive, in-depth understanding of complex and highly technical concepts and
principles in a domain of Risk & Compliance (e.g. Risk Management, Audit, etc.)
·  Strong knowledge of security concepts in technologies that intersect with own domain 
·  Able to connect the dots across domains and develop cross-domain security solutions 
·  Works on cross-functional projects/teams to deliver security solutions for the business 
·  Act as advisor and coach to junior team members
 May allocate and be responsible for the quality of work in others, including leading teams of
teams to accomplish project deliverable 
·  Identify simplification and automation opportunities that support GE Aviation's Risk
Management program 
·  Demonstrates the commitment to customer service by providing responsive and effective
support, developing solid working relationships with colleagues, and delivering high quality,
value-added services that exceed expectations
·  May train new team members in specific technology or process area.
Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 4 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 7 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 9 years of professional experience
 
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Risk and Compliance or IT
Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
Eligibility Requirement:
-Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.  We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.
Desired Characteristics

·  3+ years performing IT audits, risk assessments, disaster recovery testing engagements 
·  Hold a CISA, CISSP, CISM, or other relevant certification OR possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in IT audit/risk/security or IT project management. 
·  Strong oral and written communication skills
 Able to communicate appropriately to technical and management audience in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions 
·  Risk analysis background
 Collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources 
·  Experience developing, managing, and executing project plans
·  Familiar with industry regulations (SOX, NIST 853, NIST RMF, FISMA, DCAA, GDPR, Export Control)
·  Knowledge of or experience in Agile methodology and concepts
·  Green Belt Certified or equivalent Quality Training (GE Employees ONLY)
·  Strong leadership, influencing and team building skills
·  Ability to develop and maintain effective client relationships
·  Comfortable and effective working in areas that require rapid problem solving continuous learner
