Essential Responsibilities

Lead delivery of day-to-day maintenance and minor enhancements to meet the Close-The-Books Process requirements and overall user satisfaction with Oracle Essbase (11.1.2.3.500) application function and performance. Serve as a technical expert on assigned Oracle Essbase applications including code, interfaces and data flows. Comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required. Responsible for data integrity of the system inventory, as applicable. Responsible for the validation of all GxP relevant applications and maintaining the validated state of those applications. Comply with the change management work instruction. Resolve Helpdesk tickets submitted by users. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with data retrieval performance (Smartview reports), drill-thru reports, outline build processes using Essbase Studio and/or load rules, automated cube build and data refresh processes using MaxL and load rules, data exports using Report Scripts, data quality using SQL to query the source tables, complex security filters, and MDX formulas. Responsible for gathering requirements, designing and implementing minor enhancements to existing applications including testing and optimizing the design in the Development environment using standard industry Essbase optimization techniques. Ensure compliance with GE change management policies and maintain required documentation of all changes to existing applications. Help with developing training materials and conducting user training classes. Cultivate peer relationships across IT areas (infrastructure, operations, BI COE, etc) to support effective implementations. Provide input into the technology plan for the application area, and ensure that plans for assigned applications integrate effectively with other BI platforms such as OBIEE and Informatica. Lead and support SOX and security compliance audits as required.
Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications

·  Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics, or related field.

·  Five (5) years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor’s degree experience in offered position or related occupation required.

·  The position also requires five (5) years IT programs development or operations experience

·  two (2) years’ experience building optimized Oracle ASO and BSO Essbase applications

·  two (2) years’ experience writing Maxl and calc scripts

·  two (2) years’ experience writing MDX formulas

·  two (2) years’ experience designing outlines with Essbase Studio

·  two (2) years’ experience with Smartview

·  two (2) years’ experience creating drill-thru reports to relational databases

·  two (2) years’ experience designing complex security filters

·  one (1) year experience with Corporate Finance business processes and Hyperion Essbase and Planning application used by Finance Analysts.
