Role Summary/Purpose

This opportunity is for a Software Project Engineer working on our ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management Solutions) suite of products. You will join the global international team with varied skill set responsible for design, implementation, commissioning and support services for our customers that manage electrical distribution systems. The vacancy is placed in Moscow
Essential Responsibilities

In this role, your responsibilities may include such tasks as:

- System configuration according to customer requirements
- Software development for data migration and integration
- System commissioning, including hardware and software setup
- Onsite and remote software upgrades
- Cyber security design and implementation
- Automation and scripting
- Preparing customer specific documentation
- System acceptance testing (Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing)
- Customer training and consultancy
- Customer’s system maintenance and support
- Liaising with the UK Engineering team to resolve issues
- Customer business process analysis and requirements capture

A Software Project Engineer is expected to be adaptable and customer focused, taking responsibility for their work and ensuring that key milestones and expectations are met. Projects may range from small upgrades executed remotely to multi-year installations across remote sites.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject (Computing, Electrical Engineering) or relevant experience of working within engineering/technical environment
• Willingness and ability to undertake work on customer sites both Russia and abroad (ranging from one day visits to 2 weeks plus)
• Passion and drive to ‘get the job done’
• Working co-operatively with others to achieve a common goal, Good team spirit
• Fluent Russian and upper intermediate English languages
• Experience in three or more of the following areas:
o Linux server administration
o Scripting languages (python, perl, shell, vb)
o Programming languages (C/C++/C#, Java)
o SQL (Oracle preferred)
o SOA technologies and Web Services
o Data management – data design, migration, engineering, cleansing
o DevOps automation technologies (helm, chef, Jenkins)
o Kubernetes
o Network design
o Cyber security
o Automated testing technologies
