Role Summary/Purpose

As the Regional Sourcing Lead Commodity Specialist IT & Software Solution, we offer you the opportunity to help us further shape our Indirect Sourcing Strategy to drive synergies across the GE Distributed Power business and to explore purchase opportunities in the regional and worldwide markets.

Essential Responsibilities

As the Regional Sourcing Lead Commodity Specialist IT & Software Solution, you will:

·  Work closely with the DP HQ Sourcing organization, managing the day to day Strategic procurements actions for Indirect at Distributed Power, and setup the mid- and long-term strategy for IT, Software Solutions and Purchased Services
·  Develop the procurement execution strategy for the Business, develop the supplier base and maximize cost out on assigned commodities using negotiation, E-Auctions, and supply base rationalization / consolidations
·  Drive daily supplier selection and RFQ, price negotiation process, manage the transactional purchasing activities and act as the Purchasing owner in regards to pricing, fulfillment and compliance
·  Conduct business analyses of the entire portfolio, collaborate with the business Stakeholders, formulate sourcing strategies and support negotiations with the suppliers, as well as manage fulfillment and cycle times and ensure quality, cost and delivery requirements are met from supply base
·  Pursue the company’s sourcing strategies and material cost reduction initiatives
·  Continually evaluate market conditions and monitor supplier performance to assure that all suppliers meet or beat the required price, quality and service level
·  Work with cross-functional teams to develop the cost, product and supply chain performance to the highest standards, as needed

·  Maintain the highest level of integrity and ethics in all dealings with internal customers and outside suppliers
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's Degree in business or related field from an accredited university or college
·  Minimum of 3 years of Sourcing experience   ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

·  Ability and willingness to travel 25% of the time to global supply base and other business locations
