Role Summary/Purpose

The Quality Assurance Specialist Apprentice is responsible for leading the development and maintenance of Quality System metrics, reporting and operating mechanisms to help drive the site quality objectives.
Essential Responsibilities

Leading the development and maintenance of Quality System metrics, including but not limited to:  

·  Complaint Metrics 
·  CAPA Metrics 
·  Audit Metrics 
·  Training Metrics 
·  ISO Metrics 
·  Inspection & Product release: Spanish and Portuguese products. 
·  GDPs & GMPS
Supporting the preparation and execution of Quality Management Reviews at the site and P&L &GEHC levels
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Degree in Pharma / Biology / Chemistry or other technical field or equivalent knowledge or experience
·  Proficient with MS Office word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database applications
·  Ability to identify root cause of problems, and creatively problem solve to gain resolution
·  Ability to communicate effectively in English (both written and oral)
·  Ability to work independently in fast-paced environment with little supervision
·  Ability to adapt to constant change and influence positive change effectively
·  Team-oriented and responsive to customer needs
·  Quality-Focused, Attentive to Detail and Results-Oriented
·  EU Work Permit

If contracted in Spain:

Non-national candidates are responsible to know the minimum documentation requirements to be able to be contracted in country: NIE- Social Security Affiliation Number in Spain (NAF) and Bank Account in Spain. They must be in possession of them at the time of start hiring. GE will not sponsor this requirement.
Desired Characteristics

·  Previous experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical industry 
·  Previous experience with CA/PA systems, including complaint handling
·  Previous experience applying regulations (including Spanish Regulations on Medicinal Products and Medical Devices, GMP, GDP, ISO9001)
·  Statistics education and or training 
·  Experience developing and tracking quality metrics
·  Familiar with Continuous Improvement methodologies
