Role Summary/Purpose
GE Healthcare is looking for a Software Quality Test Engineer to join our global engineering team that is spread across 2 sites and composed from various nationalities. You will build an enterprise-level Cardiology Information System which helps medical staff in hospitals around the world to increase patient's care.
Essential Responsibilities
You will work as a member of an Agile/Scrum team and test features against user requirements raised by our global product management team based in the US. The results of our sprints will be presented back to our key stakeholders such as application specialists and software service teams who globally implement and configure our software at our customer sites.
As part of our team you will apply some of the latest technologies and practice your prioritization skills in an environment that is placing high expectations towards your productivity and on the quality of your software.
In this role you will:
• Review requirements, user stories and specifications to provide timely and meaningful feedback to internal teams (e.g. testers, developers and product owners)
• Create and document detailed, comprehensive and well-structured manual test cases
• Estimate, plan, execute and document testing activities
• Identify, record, document and track bugs
• Perform regression testing
• Demonstrate increasing expertise in application domain and functional area
• Use and apply an automation Test Framework
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar field or equivalent
• Significant experience in software testing
• Strong understanding of Verification & Validation and Defect Awareness
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test cases (manual and automated)
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Fluent in English
