Role Summary/Purpose

The Project Engineer/Junior Project Engineering manager (PE) will have a key role in Power & Processing Projects/Programs in all phases from specification definition, design, testing to final delivery, working under general direction from the Project Engineering Manager (PEM) or the Project Manager (PM). The projects may vary in scope from studies, product development programs, product deliveries to EPC projects.
Essential Responsibilities

The PE will be responsible for engineering tasks within an area such as electrical, mechanical or process engineering and can be assigned the responsibility to delivering sub-programs. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and affect short-term and long-term business goals.

·  Have knowledge of and ensure project is executed according to the governing documents and regulations for company/project.

·  Compare proposed design with applicable requirements and resolve discrepancies in co-operation with System Engineer.

·  Ensure that client and engineering requirements are clearly communicated to and adhered to by project engineering team.

·  Prepare, review, issue and file project documents, reports, procedures, etc.

·  Manage all internal and external technical interfaces throughout the project.

·  Prepare engineering input to project kick-off, design reviews and other meetings.

·  Complete the project Master Document List (MDL) and Manufacturing Record Books (MRB).

·  Evaluate tenders and participate in vendor selection and follow-up

·  Keep PEM or PM continually updated of progress – reporting immediately of any delays or budget overruns and make priorities in collaboration with PM/PEM and Product Managers when needed.

·  Follow up manufacturing and participate in required testing.

·  Promote and ensure compliance to company and regulatory EHS requirements and Quality management systems at all time

·  Travel as required to support vendor visits, acceptance testing, etc.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  University degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Marine, Chemical or other relevant discipline

·  Experience from a relevant engineering position

·  English fluent verbal and written

·  Structured/good organizational skills

·  Good understanding of Project Management

·  Experienced in standard office tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.

·  Experience in the technology aspects of designing, building or testing Subsea Power & Processing Products.

·  Strong technical attitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems

·  Strong oral and written communication skills

·  Strong problem-solving abilities

·  Strong customer mind-set

·  Ability to work to tight deadlines and cope under pressure

·  Knowledge of technical contract terms and conditions

·  Knowledge of typical documentation requirements for qualification and delivery of subsea products

·  Basic knowledge of risk management

·  Familiar with relevant standards (NORSOK, ISO, IEC, ASME, API, etc) and design requirements for subsea products.
