Role Summary/Purpose

In this role you look and take care of the quality health of our SEIFERT Radiography Systems and Field Radiography fleet manufactured in Ahrensburg and serviced in Pasadena (TX, USA) or of our PHOENIX Radiography fleet manufactured in Wunstorf and Changzhou (China).
Identifying, prioritizing & resolving the most critical technical quality & reliability issues within the fleet. This is an everyday challenge within a global environment with customers, and cross-functional GE teams.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Develop and communicate a data driven approach to identifying, prioritizing, and mitigating the top warranty & customer outage drivers

·  Work in close cooperation with the Technical Support, Service, and Warranty teams to proactively identify barriers to product performance & reliability, with the goal of increasing product performance based on review & action of statistical / issue data

·  Provide second tier support to the technical support and field service teams as necessary during the release / launch of retrofits & upgrades, ensuring the successful deployment of your solutions, and minimal customer downtime. Incorporate feedback & take necessary actions to strengthen the quality of the solution provided

·  In partnership with local / site engineering resources, lead the development of appropriate engineered solutions to identified root causes, driving the best balance between speed of delivery and total cost of execution

·  Lead cross-functional teams within a global environment

·  Update, on a regular & timely basis, the status of your programs to business leadership

·  Provide technical communication and updates to our external customers, as required

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor or Master in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or Computer Science or equivalent experience

·  Some experience in an engineering position

·  Certified in Root Cause Analysis tools & methods like e.g. 8D etc.

·  Proven background in NDT/Xray

·  High customer service mindset…first time done right, faster than expected

·  Project management experience preferred

·  Strong communication skills

·  Fluent in German and English languages (both written and verbal) is must
