Role Summary/Purpose
You will assist with product specific compliance and certification topics. On the component level you will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, documenting and releasing components from a variety of commodities for our products. You will investigate the impact of supplier product change and end-of-life notifications on products for engineering/purchasing. Also, you will be responsible for managing internal engineering workflows and configuration management for customer specific products.
Essential Responsibilities
· Responsibility for reviewing and approving new part
requests and maintaining integrity of the data in the internal PLM system
· Providing support with failure mode analysis,
addressing quality complaints, working closely with component manufacturers to
ensure corrective actions are implemented
· Responsibility for the component verification
process
· Responsibility for creating documentation
pertaining to component qualification, component technologies, etc.
· Support of product/project
managers and sourcing in last-time-buy and end-of-life decisions
· Responsibility for execution of internal workflows
such as BOM, production documents, product version changes
· Maintaining of product compliance topics and
certifications like CE, UL, RoHS, product safety or EMC
· Preparation of product specific reports like BOM health
checks or MTBF reports
· Responsibility for export classification (“tagging”)
on component level
· Organization and management of the engineering lab
· Modification and functional test of boards and
products
· Creation of test adapters
Qualifications/Requirements
· Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer
Engineering (Bachelor of Science/FH Degree, Master/University Degree) or similar
· Strong technical aptitude, including applicable
engineering tools and systems
· Basic knowledge of current embedded technologies
· Understanding of technical/electronical datasheets
· Basic experience with measurement equipment
· Self-motivated, self-organized and results-oriented
· Solid communication and coordination skills
· Team player with professional/positive personal
presence
· Fluent German and English

· Experience with PLM Systems (e.g. Agile)
· Experience with component data tools (e.g.
SiliconExpert)
· Experience with database applications (e.g. Microsoft
Access)
· Experience with SAP
