Role Summary/Purpose

Responsible for the setup, care and alignment of all dies and the operation of all valves and controls on hydraulic presses for both cold and hot forming.
Essential Responsibilities

In the role of Machine Operator - 2nd shift, you will:

·  Lubricate parts with approved lubricants

·  Be responsible for all sizing operations including the setup, care, inventory and inspection for wear of all sizing plugs

·  Be responsible for the setup and operation of all forming, dickering, sizing, flattening and the inspection of all engineered products

·  Be responsible for the setup and operation of all furnace parameters and press controls for the forming of Style 110 and Style 220 products

·  Be responsible for the setup of the loading mechanism for 36-36 press

·  Be responsible for the inspection of Style 110 and 220 after forming

·  Operate automated marking system for the purposes of identifying product

·  Operate console to enter prescribed program setup and offset data, back off tool offsets, and check out with dry run

·  Edit the program as required

·  Comply with all requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
Qualifications/Requirements

·  High School diploma or GED from an accredited school or institution

·  Minimum 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment

Eligibility Requirements:

·  Work 2nd shift

·  Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required

·  Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities

·  Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required

·  Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

·  Be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time

·  Advanced shop mathematics

·  Thorough knowledge of machining methods, tools, and cutting qualities of materials

·  Ability to demonstrate a satisfactory knowledge of the use of inspection equipment

·  Understand the concept of tool offsets

·  Understand the concept of machine zero

·  Understand basic machine functions and cycles
