Role Summary/Purpose
We are looking for an FP&A Analyst for a period of 12 months to cover for a parental leave (absence starting from January 2019).
The focus of this role is to act as a finance business partner for the site and support the planning and forecasting of the financials of the Life Sciences Global Supply Chain Organization and participation in simplification efforts.
Essential Responsibilities
· Support GE Healthcare Finance/Business planning cycles including 1-year Plan and Operating Plan
· Participate in quarterly / yearly Accounting closing processes
· Provide financial data and analysis to finance and operating teams to drive growth
· Partner with Operations by providing analysis and necessary analytics to highlight key business performance drivers; provide quarterly estimates and identify risks and opportunities throughout the quarter
· Consolidating actual operating performance and reporting results
· Working with Finance Managers and operations leaders to drive opportunities for improvement in variable and base cost
· Working with operations team to identify risks and opportunities concerning CAPEX and Inventory
· Participate in simplification projects that will facilitate and increase capacity for value-added financial analysis
· Support the annual standard setting process for materials, plant labor and overhead rates
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration
· Alternatively, apprenticeship in economy and progressive financial work experience
· Fluent in German and English
· Clear thinking and problem-solving skills
· Strong PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications as well as Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (pivot tables, Vlookup, etc)
· Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
